Obituary

Larine Jeanine Scowden, 67 of Delphi, passed away on July 25, 2022 at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette. She was born on Dec. 1, 1954 in Lafayette to the late Don Eugene and Dorothy M. (Lybrook) Draper. She was a graduate of Delphi High School. Jeanine married Larry Scowden on Aug. 11, 2007 in Pidgeon Forge, TN and he survives.

She was employed at Steel Parts in Tipton for 20 years in the Accts Receivable & ordering dept. She worked the last 3 years at the Wabash & Erie Canal Park and retired as Event Coordinator on May 31, 2022.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 75.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; sister, Lisa Gail Draper-Shay (Les); niece, Bethany Pearson  Ice (Paul) of Idaville; great nephew, Kenneth Zane Lovvorn of Idaville; step daughters: Laura Stigers (Rob) of Delphi, Sabrina Scowden of Lafayette, Marlaina Payne (Ryan) of Bringhurst.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service.

Memorial contributions in Jeanine’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
