Obituary

Tammy K. Emmitt, 58 of Rockfield, passed away on Aug. 4, 2022 at IU University Health, in Indianapolis. Tammy was born on Sept. 7, 1963 in Lafayette to Linda Kay (Beever) Emmitt Calvert and the late William Richard Emmitt. She was a 1981 graduate of Delphi Community High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College in Ft. Wayne.

She had been employed as a receptionist for Dr. Brodar and worked for Purdue University for over 10 years.

Tammy was a member of the First Assembly of God in Delphi.

She had a green thumb and enjoyed flower gardening. She dearly loved her dogs, friends and family. She also enjoyed Swedish weaving.

She is survived by her mother and step-father: Linda and Glenn Calvert of Delphi; brother, Jeff Emmitt of Kokomo; 4 aunts, an uncle and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Richard Emmitt.

Friends and family will gather at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 6:00 pm until the 7:00 pm Memorial Service. The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 pm. Pastor Brent Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Tammy’s memory may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
